We\’ve been instructed to search for a Senior Civil Engineer to work in a warm, vibrant, and energetic smaller team of professional engineers in Reading.
You will be given the chance to manage projects and make use of an outstanding caliber of junior resources on your projects that range from Thames Valley new-build developments to schemes of national significance.
This company is a well-established civil, structural, planning and environmental consultancy with an excellent reputation, for their engineering expertise and also as a kind, supportive place to work.
As a Senior Civil Engineer you will be given hands-on Chartership support to help you reach the next level in your career. All of the assistance you need, which might include further study, will be provided with the support and caring oversight that will help you to reach your full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work toward chartered status of either ICE or CIWEM.
- Implement a thorough working knowledge of current technical standards and guidance relating to drainage and estate road design.
- Undertake Flood Risk Assessments and demonstrate a thorough understanding of current assessment techniques.
- Produce technical reports efficiently and accurately.
- Undertake the assessment, design and specification of highway, surface and foul water drainage systems for residential and commercial development proposals.
- Demonstrate proficiency with the design and specification of SuDS, Adoptable and private sewerage pumping stations.
- Prepare & submit Section 98, 104, 106, 185 (Water Industry Act) or Section 38 or 278 (Highways Act) agreements.
