Senior Civil Engineer – CheltenhamSalary: Up to £55,000
The OpportunityI\’m partnering with a well-respected, privately owned consultancy in Cheltenham who are looking to welcome a Senior Civil Engineer into their friendly and collaborative team.
This is a fantastic chance for an experienced civil engineer to take on meaningful responsibility across design and project coordination, while building a pathway towards a future leadership or management role.
The consultancy works on a wide variety of high‐value projects‐often over £100m‐delivering civil engineering design, procurement support, coordination, and specialist technical services. What You\’ll Be Doing
Taking ownership of civil engineering design within multi‐disciplinary project teams
Working closely with architects, building services engineers, project managers, and commercial teams
Attending client and design meetings, sharing your expertise and solutions
Preparing Flood Risk Assessments, drainage strategies, and other pre‐planning advice
Acting as a main point of contact for day‐to‐day client queries
Visiting sites to support technical assessment, problem‐solving, and design validation
Who We\’re Looking For
Experienced in a similar civil engineering role, ideally within a multi‐disciplinary consultancy
Working towards, or already holding, professional membership with the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE) or equivalent
Confident with highways and drainage adoption processes (Section 38, 278, 104 agreements)
Skilled in AutoCAD, especially Civil 3D
Strong understanding of:
Drainage design (surface and foul)
Sustainable drainage systems (SuDS)
Highways design
Earthworks and cut/fill analysis
Experienced in delivering projects from concept to completion (calculations, drawings, specifications)
Familiar with relevant Building Regulations, British Standards, and local authority requirements
