We're working with a well-established contractor delivering complex RC frame, groundworks and infrastructure packages across London and the South East. Due to continued growth, they're looking to appoint an experienced Senior Buyer to strengthen their procurement team. This is a key role supporting multiple live projects, working closely with commercial and operational teams to drive value through the supply chain.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading procurement of materials and subcontract packages across multiple projects
- Managing supplier relationships and negotiating best value agreements
- Working closely with QS/Commercial teams on budgets, CVRs and cost planning
- Sourcing and onboarding new suppliers to strengthen the supply chain
- Supporting project teams with timely and efficient procurement strategies
What they're looking for:
- Proven experience as a Buyer / Senior Buyer within civil engineering, RC frame or groundworks
- Strong knowledge of construction materials and subcontract procurement
- Commercially astute with solid negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with Tier 1 / Tier 2 contractors is beneficial
