I'm working with a growing infrastructure and civil engineering contractor with a strong pipeline of work across utilities and general civils. They're looking to bring in a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team and support ongoing projects. This is an ideal opportunity for someone at the start of their career who wants hands-on exposure, structured training, and the chance to learn from experienced commercial professionals.

The Role

You'll support the commercial team across live projects, gaining exposure to all aspects of quantity surveying from procurement through to final accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with cost tracking, reporting and forecasting
  • Supporting the preparation of valuations and applications for payment
  • Assisting with subcontractor procurement and administration
  • Measurement and take-offs from drawings
  • Supporting with variations and change management
  • General commercial and administrative support to the QS/SQS

Requirements

  • Degree qualified (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or similar
  • Strong interest in civil engineering / infrastructure projects
  • Good numerical and analytical skills
  • Eagerness to learn and develop
  • Strong communication skills
