The Role

As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you'll take ownership of both technical excellence and project leadership, acting as a key point of contact for clients and internal teams.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead electrical design delivery across multiple projects
  • Take overall responsibility for project quality, timelines, and technical standards
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Support business development, including bids and proposals
  • Mentor and develop engineers across the team
  • Drive sustainable and low-carbon design strategies
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders

About You

  • Degree qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Significant experience within a building services consultancy environment
  • Strong track record of leading projects and managing client relationships
  • In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations and design standards
  • Proficient in industry tools (e.g. Amtech, Dialux/Relux, AutoCAD/Revit)
  • Chartered Engineer status (or working toward, ideally near completion)
  • Commercial awareness and ability to contribute to business growth
