A rapidly growing engineering consultancy is looking to appoint multiple Civil Engineers to join its expanding wastewater infrastructure team in Slough. This is a strong opportunity for engineers with UK wastewater infrastructure experience to work on a varied portfolio of detailed design projects including sewerage rising mains, trunk sewers, pumping stations, gravity sewer systems and pipeline rehabilitation schemes.
Following an initial onboarding period in the office, the role will move to a hybrid working arrangement. You'll support the design and delivery of wastewater infrastructure schemes, contributing to feasibility studies, optioneering, detailed design and technical delivery across a range of projects. The role will involve developing designs for wastewater networks and associated infrastructure, supporting rehabilitation and renewal schemes, coordinating technical drawings, attending site visits and liaising with clients, contractors and wider project teams.
You'll work in accordance with Sewerage Sector Guidance, Water Industry standards and relevant UK regulations, while supporting practical and cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Good understanding of sewerage systems, rising mains and drainage hydraulics
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and hydraulic modelling software such as InfoWorks ICM, MicroDrainage or EPANET
- Familiarity with Water UK standards and Sewerage Sector Guidance
- Full UK driving licence
Experience with hydraulic modelling, surge analysis, transient flow or pressure management would be beneficial but is not essential.
