Location: London

Sector: Infrastructure (Rail, Highways, Utilities)

Type: Permanent | Hybrid Working

Salary: £55k to £75k + Excellent Benefits

My client is a specialist construction consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-profile infrastructure projects across the UK. With a growing pipeline of work in rail, highways, aviation and utilities, they are looking to appoint both a Quantity Surveyor and a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding London team.

This isn’t a generalist role in a multi-sector firm - this is an opportunity to join a consultancy where infrastructure is the core business, not an add-on.

The Opportunity: You’ll be delivering full lifecycle commercial support on some of the UK’s most complex infrastructure schemes. Working closely with clients and project teams, you’ll play a key role in ensuring commercial success from day one.

  • QS Role: Perfect for someone 2-4 years post-grad, looking to grow quickly in a hands-on, client-facing environment.
  • SQS Role: Geared toward someone already managing workstreams, confident with clients, and wants to grow into a leadership role.

Responsibilities:

  • Commercial management of rail, highways, aviation or utilities projects
  • Full pre- and post-contract duties under NEC contracts
  • Procurement strategy and tender support
  • Cost planning, reporting, and forecasting
  • Client liaison and stakeholder management

What I’m Looking For:

  • Experience working on infrastructure projects (essential)
  • Consultancy or client-side background
  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts
  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar
  • MRICS preferred (not essential)
  • Clear communicator with a proactive mindset

Why This Role?

  • Work with a consultancy that’s 100% infrastructure-focused
  • Join a tight-knit team on complex, career-defining projects
  • Enjoy real autonomy and visibility with clients
  • Benefit from flexible hybrid working and clear progression
