We are working with a well-established civils contractor that continues to secure repeat work across a range of infrastructure schemes. Due to sustained growth, they are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial management of live civil engineering projects from pre-construction through to final account. While structures experience would be advantageous, the client is open to QSs from a broader civils background with strong commercial fundamentals.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Commercial management of one or more civil engineering projects
- Cost control, forecasting, and reporting
- Procurement of subcontractors and materials
- Valuations, variations, and change control
- Subcontractor management and commercial negotiations
- Supporting final accounts and client liaison
About You
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure
- Background in structures, highways, groundworks, or general civils welcomed
- Strong understanding of NEC or similar forms of contract
- Commercially astute with good communication skills
- Able to work collaboratively with project and site teams
