Job Description
Principal Consultant – Transport Development Planning (Bristol)
I am currently working with a well-established consultancy that is setting up a new Bristol office and is now looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Principal Consultant to play a key role in its growth.
This opportunity would suit candidates with approximately four to eight years\’ experience in transport development planning, gained either within a consultancy environment or a local authority setting, and who are keen to be involved in shaping a new regional presence.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- A strong understanding of transport planning principles
- Excellent presentation and technical report-writing skills
- The ability to manage their own workload and meet project deadlines
- Experience working collaboratively with other consultancies as part of multi-disciplinary teams on development projects, including residential, commercial, retail, and leisure schemes
- The capability to project manage small to medium-sized projects
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Technical experience should include:
- Preparing and reviewing Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and Environmental Statement chapters
