Our client, a respected and forward-thinking consultancy, is seeking a Party Wall Surveyor with the gravitas, expertise, and drive to lead on neighbourly matters across a varied and dynamic portfolio.

THE ROLE

You’ll be working directly alongside senior colleagues and directors, managing and leading matters with a high level of independence and responsibility. You’ll be advising clients on notifiable works, preparing notices and awards, carrying out site inspections, mentoring junior team members, and engaging with a wide array of neighbourly matters including oversail and access agreements.

Key Responsibilities for the Part Wall Surveyor:

  • Lead/ assist with day-to-day Party Wall matters from instruction to resolution
  • Conduct inspections and surveys related to Party Wall and associated neighbourly issues
  • Draft notices, schedules of condition, awards, reports, and assessments
  • Review proposals and identify necessary notifications
  • Advise clients clearly and confidently, maintaining exceptional service standards
  • Mentor and guide trainee and graduate surveyors
  • Collaborate on team development and deliver CPD content when needed

Requirements the Party Wall Surveyor should have:

  • Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in Party Wall matters
  • Membership of a recognised body such as P&T Society, FPWS, or RICS would be ideal.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Party Wall etc. Act 1996
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — both verbal and written
  • Proven ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
  • A strong sense of professional responsibility, accuracy, and customer focus
  • A passion for progressing your technical expertise and industry standing
  • Flexible and organised
