We're working with a well-established specialist contractor operating across civil engineering and ground engineering, delivering technically complex infrastructure schemes nationwide. With a strong forward order book and continued growth, they're looking to bring an experienced Estimator into their pre-construction team. The Role
You'll play a key role in the successful delivery of tenders, working closely with commercial and operational teams to produce accurate, competitive estimates. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing detailed cost estimates for civil and ground engineering projects
- Reviewing tender documentation to identify risks, opportunities, and key drivers
- Engaging with supply chain and internal stakeholders to build robust pricing submissions
- Supporting the wider bid team through the full tender lifecycle
About You
- Proven experience in estimating within civil engineering, groundworks, or infrastructure
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Experience with estimating software such as Causeway, Candy, or similar
- Relevant qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) in Civil Engineering or Construction (preferred)
- Experience in piling, foundations, or geotechnical works would be advantageous
