Their portfolio spans major residential, retail, logistics, and technology sector projects across the UK and Europe. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Senior Civil Design Engineer to play a key role in the delivery of civil infrastructure projects—from early concept and due diligence through to detailed design and project delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of projects, influence design decisions, and support the development of junior engineers within a forward‑thinking team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead the design and delivery of civil infrastructure schemes including highways, drainage, flood risk, and utilities
  • Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and detailed design packages
  • Produce high‑quality designs using Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, and related software
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the UK and Europe
  • Take responsibility for project management tasks including programming, budgeting, and client liaison
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to their technical development
  • Ensure all work complies with current standards, regulations, and best practices

What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree‑qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • 5+ years’ experience within a civil infrastructure design consultancy environment
  • Strong technical expertise in highways and drainage design
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, and BIM workflows
  • Chartered (CEng) or Incorporated (IEng) status, or actively working towards it
  • Excellent communication, report writing, and organisational skills
  • Proven ability to manage your own workload and contribute to team success
  • Experience in Flood Risk Assessments (FRA), drainage strategies, and due diligence
  • Familiarity with Eurocodes and project stages (RIBA/HOAI) is advantageous
  • Willingness to travel occasionally across Europe
