The Opportunity

Joining a well‑established transport planning team, you will gain exposure to a diverse range of development projects spanning residential, commercial, education and mixed‑use schemes. You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, working directly with senior leadership while developing your technical and client‑facing skills.

  • Preparing Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Access Appraisals and related technical reports
  • Undertaking junction capacity assessments and transport modelling
  • Supporting highway and access design work using CAD software
  • Managing project delivery and programme requirements
  • Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders, project teams and clients
  • Attending site visits, public consultations and project meetings
  • Supporting business development initiatives and client relationship management
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members where appropriate

About You

  • Previous experience within a transport planning consultancy environment
  • Exposure to development‑led transport planning projects across sectors such as residential, commercial or education
  • Knowledge of junction modelling and wider transport assessment methodologies
  • Experience engaging with clients, stakeholders and local authorities
  • An understanding of the planning process and its relationship with transport strategy and assessment
  • Strong communication and report‑writing skills
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Unrestricted right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available)
