A rapidly growing engineering consultancy is looking to appoint multiple Civil Engineers to join its expanding wastewater infrastructure team in Slough. This is a strong opportunity for engineers with UK wastewater infrastructure experience to work on a varied portfolio of detailed design projects including sewerage rising mains, trunk sewers, pumping stations, gravity sewer systems and pipeline rehabilitation schemes.
The Role
- Support the design and delivery of wastewater infrastructure schemes, contributing to feasibility studies, optioneering, detailed design and technical delivery across a range of projects.
- Develop designs for wastewater networks and associated infrastructure, supporting rehabilitation and renewal schemes.
- Coordinate technical drawings, attend site visits and liaise with clients, contractors and wider project teams.
- Work in accordance with Sewerage Sector Guidance, Water Industry standards and relevant UK regulations, while supporting practical and cost-effective engineering solutions.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years' UK experience within wastewater infrastructure or pipeline design.
- Good understanding of sewerage systems, rising mains and drainage hydraulics.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and hydraulic modelling software such as InfoWorks ICM, MicroDrainage or EPANET.
- Familiarity with Water UK standards and Sewerage Sector Guidance.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience with hydraulic modelling, surge analysis, transient flow or pressure management would be beneficial but is not essential.
