Job Description Quantity Surveyor - Construction Consultancy\n \n North East | Hybrid Working \n \nThe Opportunity\n \n \n A leading construction and property consultancy is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join its growing Cost & Commercial team in the North East. \n This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative consultancy, working on a varied portfolio of projects across the North East and wider UK . \n Projects span a range of sectors including education, commercial, defence, industrial and retail , giving you the opportunity to broaden your experience and work alongside experienced project and commercial professionals. \n \nThe Role\n \n \n As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be involved across the full project lifecycle, providing commercial and cost management support from pre-contract through to completion. \n \n Delivering pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying services . \n Working closely with clients, project managers, contractors and internal teams. \n Estimating, monitoring and controlling project costs to ensure delivery within budget. \n Reviewing and managing contractor and supplier costs and payments. \n Preparing regular financial reports and providing updates on project performance and commercial risk. \n Supporting procurement activities, including contractor evaluation and appointment. \n Maintaining accurate commercial and project records. \n Identifying and managing commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle. \n \n \nThe Person\n \n \n We're looking for a personable, ambitious and commercially focused Quantity Surveyor who is keen to develop within a leading consultancy environment. \n Ideally, you will have: \n \n A BSc in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline . \n Experience across both pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying. \n Strong commercial and cost management skills. \n A proactive and collaborative approach to project delivery. \n The ambition to develop your technical and commercial expertise. \n \n \nOpportunities Beyond Project Delivery\n \n \n The business actively encourages its people to contribute beyond their core project responsibilities, with opportunities to become involved in: People Leadership - mentoring and supporting junior colleagues.
