Are you an ambitious structural engineer looking for your next step up? Are you looking to progress and further your career in a varied role with an award-winning Civil & Structural Design consultancy? Would Dorking be a good location for you?

This role would suit an experienced structural engineer, ideally Chartered, who is technically excellent and commercially astute. This is an opportunity to take a leading role in a very established structural design project and be involved in co-leading the current team of 15 staff. There is a very real option to take shares in the business going forwards, and become a co-owner swiftly if desired. If staying purely salaried appeals more, then this is ok too.

You would need to have solid mainstream buildings structures design experience in all the main materials, be able to run jobs, manage staff and clients, be involved in project delivery and fee bids. The practice is a well-established company with a high proportion of Chartered Engineers, both MICE and MIStructE. The company has a down-to-earth ethos where teamwork is key and designs really get built. Staff turnover is low and career progression is very real. They offer excellent, practical and buildable solutions to their clients.

Workload is very varied including bespoke houses for private clients, schools, arts and leisure projects, basements, report and insurance claim work, commercial, retail and healthcare buildings, both new build and refurb. The projects range from £2-10m.

In addition to basic salary there is 25 days holiday, Chartership fees paid, pension and a flexible and friendly work environment. The office is close to the train station and parking is also available.

Aldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality. We encourage and welcome applications from all sections of society and are happy to discuss reasonable adjustments and/or additional arrangements as required to support your application. Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
