Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the design management process on new-build projects
  • Coordinate between consultants, subcontractors, and internal delivery teams
  • Drive technical delivery and manage design risks and compliance
  • Support planning applications and ensure buildable, cost-effective solutions
  • Chair design meetings and report into the senior leadership team

Requirements

  • Experience working for a main contractor as a Design Manager
  • Track record delivering a variety of project types (not just residential)
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of construction buildability
  • Able to manage multiple stakeholders and meet deadlines
  • Based in or able to cover sites across the Northern Home Counties
