Are you an experienced structural Revit technician able to take responsibility for complex schemes? Interested to work in the specialist power industry? This small, well established Croydon based specialist design consultancy are part of a large utilities contractor group. They specialise in structural design for projects in the power industry. These are highly technical, often specialist schemes and involve work for clients such as UKPN and SSE. You will be joining a very experienced team where everyone takes responsibility for their own work. This role is for an experienced hands on structural technician, with excellent Revit skills. Experience in the power sector would be highly advantageous. The role is office based, not remote.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for complex structural schemes
- Engage in projects within the power industry (substations, battery storage facilities, blast resistant buildings, switch houses, GIS buildings, transformer cell housing structures)
- Design of specialist steelwork structures and supports underground and inside tunnels to carry heavy power cables
- Work on refurbishment and new build projects, involving steel, concrete and some masonry design
- Collaborate within a team where each member is responsible for their own work
- Contribute to projects of varying scale, from small to multi‑million £ schemes
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experienced hands on structural technician with excellent Revit skills
- Experience in the power sector would be highly advantageous
- Office based role (not remote); hybrid working may be available
