The Opportunity
I'm working on behalf of a leading construction consultancy to appoint an experienced Associate Director - Quantity Surveyor to join their growing London infrastructure team. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an ambitious commercial professional with strong NEC expertise and a proven track record delivering major infrastructure programmes. You will play a key role in leading high-value, complex projects across sectors including highways, aviation, energy, rail and wider transportation infrastructure, supporting both public and private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial management across major infrastructure programmes
- Provide strategic cost and contract advice to clients
- Administer and manage NEC contracts (essential)
- Oversee cost planning, procurement strategy, risk management and change control
- Lead and mentor junior team members
- Support business development and client relationship management
- Contribute to the growth and strategic direction of the infrastructure division
Requirements
- Extensive experience in Quantity Surveying within a consultancy environment
- Strong background delivering major infrastructure projects (e.g., highways, aviation, rail or large-scale infrastructure programmes)
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience administering NEC contracts (essential)
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder engagement skills
- MRICS qualified (or equivalent) preferred
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic mindset
