We are working with a well-regarded civil engineering consultancy in Nottingham that is looking to expand its technical team. They are after a Civil Design Engineer or Senior Civil Engineer who is ready for a role with real variety, responsibility, and progression.

The role in a nutshell: You will work on the design and delivery of highways and drainage schemes for residential developments, overseeing your own work while guiding and mentoring junior engineers.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Detailed surface and foul drainage design (SuDS included)
  • Road and junction design for new developments
  • Pavement specification and levels design
  • Cut & fill and earthwork volume strategies
  • Utility coordination
  • Section 38, 104, 106, and 278 submissions

What you will bring:

  • Experience working within a UK consultancy on civil infrastructure design
  • Understanding of relevant legal agreements (S38, S278, S104 etc.)
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Civil 3D, PDS, Site 3D, or MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage
