Are you a Civil Engineer with experience in highways, drainage or development infrastructure design looking to take the next step in your career? An established and highly regarded development infrastructure consultancy is looking to appoint a Civil Engineer into its growing Bristol office. The Opportunity
You'll be joining a people-focused consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, sustainable development infrastructure solutions. Working as part of an experienced and supportive team, you'll be involved in the design and coordination of highways, drainage and earthworks packages across a broad range of development projects, gaining exposure to schemes from early concept through to detailed design and approvals. Projects are varied and can include:
- Residential developments and housing schemes
- Commercial and mixed-use developments
- Retail and logistics projects
- Education facilities
Assisting with the design and delivery of highways and drainage infrastructure for development schemes:
- Producing highway designs (S38 / S278) at preliminary and detailed design stages
- Surface water drainage
- Foul drainage
- SuDS design
- Foul pumping stations
Assisting with earthworks and site level design. Supporting project delivery from feasibility through to detailed design and approvals. Producing technical drawings, calculations, and design documentation. Collaborating with senior engineers and technicians to ensure high-quality project delivery.
What We're Looking For
To be considered, you should have:
- Experience in civil infrastructure design, ideally within highways and/or drainage
- A background working on UK development infrastructure projects
- Good working knowledge of relevant design standards and approval processes
- Experience using software such as: Civil 3D, PDS
- Experience contributing to designs for residential, commercial or mixed-use developments
- ABEng / MEng in Civil Engineering (or equivalent relevant experience)
