Principal Transport Planner
Location: London | Hybrid Working
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Excellent Benefits
I'm working with one of the UK's largest independent transport planning consultancies, who are looking to strengthen their London team with an experienced Principal Transport Planner.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced transport planner looking to take the next step in their career, taking ownership of complex projects while providing technical leadership, developing client relationships and supporting the growth of the wider team.
The Role
As a Principal Transport Planner, you'll take a leading role in the delivery of a range of development-related transport projects, providing technical expertise and strategic advice to clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing complex development-related transport projects
- Preparing and reviewing Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and Access Appraisals
- Developing transport strategies and undertaking multi-modal trip generation, forecasting and scenario testing
- Providing technical guidance across transport planning and modelling
- Using industry-standard software including TRICS, TEMPRO, Junctions and LinSig
- Applying relevant standards and guidance including MfS, DMRB, LTN 1/20, Active Travel guidance and Healthy Streets principles
- Managing project teams, delegating tasks and overseeing quality, programme and budgets
- Liaising with clients, local authorities and other stakeholders
- Representing clients at meetings, consultations and public inquiries where required
- Supporting business development, bids and identifying new opportunities
