Are you an Electrical Engineer looking to work on some of the UK's most innovative and technically challenging building services projects? I'm partnering with a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy that's continuing to grow its Building Services team in Manchester. They're looking to appoint an Electrical Engineer or Senior Electrical Engineer to help deliver sustainable, high-quality engineering solutions across an exciting portfolio of projects throughout the UK and internationally.
You'll become part of an experienced multidisciplinary team delivering projects from concept through to completion across a diverse range of sectors. Working closely with architects, structural engineers, sustainability consultants and project managers, you'll play a key role in designing buildings that are energy-efficient, technically robust and future-ready.
As an Electrical Engineer or Senior Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering electrical building services designs across multiple projects, ensuring technical excellence while working collaboratively with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
Depending on your experience, you'll either take ownership of key project elements or lead the electrical discipline on larger, more complex developments.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering electrical building services designs from concept through to completion.
- Producing electrical calculations, specifications, reports and technical drawings.
- Designing LV electrical distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, small power, earthing and protection systems.
- Coordinating electrical designs with mechanical, public health and specialist engineering teams.
- Attending client, design and project meetings throughout all project stages.
- Reviewing contractor submissions and monitoring installations to ensure designs are delivered in accordance with project requirements.
- Supporting testing, commissioning and project handover.
- Managing workloads to meet programme milestones and quality standards.
- Leading the electrical discipline on major and technically complex projects.
- Taking responsibility for project delivery, technical quality and commercial performance.
- Supporting project planning, resource management and team development.
