Our steadily growing client is an established main contractor delivering high-quality public sector construction and refurbishment projects across Essex, London and the South East. Their portfolio includes a wide variety of refurbishment, fit-out and new-build schemes across:

  • Education & Schools
  • Healthcare
  • Care Homes
  • Hotel Refurbishments
  • Commercial Upgrades & Extensions

Typical project values range from £500k - £15m, with a strong focus on quality delivery, repeat business and long-term client relationships. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their team in Hockley.

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-sufficient Estimator who is comfortable managing the full tender process from initial enquiry through to final submission with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced SME environment, taking ownership of multiple tenders simultaneously while working closely with the commercial and operational teams.

This is a full-time office-based role, Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
  • Liaise with operational and commercial teams throughout pre-construction stages
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and clients

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of commercial construction processes
  • Commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Experience delivering public sector refurbishment projects
  • Previous exposure to education, healthcare or care home schemes
  • Experience working within an SME contractor environment

£60,000 - £70,000 basic salary (depending on experience) ~ Full-time permanent position ~ Office-based in Hockley, Essex.
