They are seeking a talented Building Surveyor to join their expert team - someone who combines technical skill with a strong understanding of building defects, moisture ingress, and environmental conditions affecting property performance.

Key Responsibilities of the Building Surveyor:
  • Lead and deliver a wide range of building surveying commissions, with a focus on damp, mould, and condensation investigations.
  • Undertake detailed defect diagnosis, condition, and measured surveys.
  • Prepare robust technical reports and recommendations for remedial works.
  • Manage contract administration, specifications, and tender documentation through to project completion.
  • Advise clients on maintenance, refurbishment, and compliance to ensure long-term building integrity.
  • Build strong, trusted client relationships through expert guidance and clear communication.
  • Support and mentor junior surveyors, sharing specialist knowledge and promoting best practice.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Building Surveying (or related field).
  • Ideally MRICS qualified or working toward chartership.
  • 3-5 years' consultancy experience with a strong grounding in building pathology.
  • Demonstrable expertise in diagnosing and resolving damp and mould issues.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and client engagement skills.
  • Proactive, commercially aware, and confident working independently or as part of a team.
