This specialist civil/structural consultancy is an award-winning firm that focuses on assessing, maintaining and extending the serviceable life of a wide range of damaged and deteriorating concrete structures. They are an Irish firm established over 20 years, with a growing London/M25 presence and workload. The London team currently has one Associate and one engineer and is seeking another mid-level person to join their team. The role would suit someone with at least 2 years experience, which could be with a contractor or consultant. You would be working alongside the Associate under supervision initially.
The work is specialist and involves:
- Forensic engineering and failure analysis
- Structural assessment, inspections and load testing
- Cathodic protection and structural health monitoring
- Expert witness work, materials testing and report writing
- Collecting material samples, surveying, and site work such as working on high platforms, tunnels and small spaces
- Writing structural reports and offering solutions and recommendations
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years experience in civil or structural engineering
- Good communicator, able to work both office and on site
- Good understanding of civil and structural works
- Ability to use a drill
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is useful
- Driver licence essential
