We're working with a leading consultancy delivering some of the UK's most complex major infrastructure and rail programmes. Due to increased workload, they're looking to appoint a Senior Estimating Manager on a long-term contract basis. This is a senior role within a high-profile rail environment, leading estimating teams and providing commercial assurance on contractor submissions across multiple work packages.
The Role
- Lead and develop a small estimating team on a major infrastructure programme
- Provide assurance and challenge on contractor estimates
- Produce high-level order-of-magnitude and detailed first-principles estimates
- Work across heavy civils, rail, major projects and MEP packages
- Prepare basis-of-estimate reports and benchmark costs against market data
- Engage closely with engineers, clients and senior stakeholders
What They’re Looking For
- Strong background in major projects / rail / heavy civils
- Solid MEP estimating experience
- Advanced knowledge of RMM1 and CESMM4
- Confident completing full take-offs using estimating software
- Experience with parametric modelling, data validation and deep-dive analysis
- Comfortable working in a consultancy-led environment
