Assistant Civil Design Engineer - Development Infrastructure

The Opportunity

The Role

As a Graduate / Civil Engineer, you'll support the design and delivery of infrastructure packages across a variety of development projects. Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the design of highways and drainage infrastructure for residential developments
  • Supporting surface water and foul drainage design, including SuDS principles
  • Assisting with site levels, earthworks and external works design
  • Producing technical drawings and design information using industry-standard software
  • Supporting the preparation of reports and technical documentation for planning and approvals
  • Working closely with senior engineers, architects, and external consultants
  • Contributing to projects from concept design through to detailed design stages
  • Learning and applying UK design standards and approval processes

What We're Looking For

To be considered, you should have:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering (BEng or MEng)
  • Up to 2 years' experience in civil engineering or development infrastructure design (including placements)
  • An interest in highways, drainage and residential development projects
  • Familiarity with software such as: Civil 3D (preferred), MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage (desirable)
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
  • A proactive and motivated approach to developing your engineering career
