The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be involved in the successful delivery of projects from a commercial and cost management perspective. Responsibilities will include: Contract administration of NEC4 contracts across a variety of main options. Budgeting, forecasting, risk management and cost reporting. Managing payment processes and supporting interim valuations. Ensuring contractual obligations and timescales are complied with on behalf of clients. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver cost planning and cost reporting in line with project programmes. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and contractors. Attending site meetings and undertaking site-based duties where required. Assisting with the assessment and agreement of final accounts. Taking pride in representing both the profession and the business to a high standard.
About You
The ideal candidate will have: A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a consultancy, contractor or similar environment. An interest in, or commitment towards, achieving Chartered status with the RICS or equivalent professional body. NEC3 and/or NEC4 contract experience, although this would be advantageous rather than essential. Knowledge of standard methods of measurement. Strong numeracy, literacy, communication and IT skills. A professional and collaborative approach, with the ability to build strong working relationships. A good understanding of Health & Safety requirements. A genuine desire to continue learning and developing within the Quantity Surveying profession.
