We're working with a leading UK development consultancy that's looking to appoint a Principal / Associate Civil Engineer to join their growing team in Bristol. This is a standout opportunity for a technically strong and commercially aware engineer to take a leading role across a wide range of development infrastructure projects, with the backing of a supportive and ambitious organisation.
The Role
As a Principal / Associate Engineer, you'll lead the design and delivery of infrastructure schemes for residential and mixed-use developments, covering highways, drainage and site levels. You'll take responsibility for project delivery, manage and mentor junior engineers, and build strong relationships with clients and approving bodies.
- Leading detailed infrastructure designs, covering private and adoptable works
- Managing project workflow, budgets and team resourcing
- Securing technical approvals, including S104 and S38 agreements
- Producing and overseeing designs using Civil 3D, AutoCAD and MicroDrainage
- Applying industry standards such as Manual for Streets, Building Regulations and Sewerage Sector Guidance
- Supporting client relationships, project development and the wider growth of the team
About You
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a similar discipline, with 6+ years' relevant experience
- Chartered or working towards professional status (ICE or equivalent)
- Strong background in residential development infrastructure
- Proficient in Civil 3D and drainage design software
- Confident communicator with experience leading projects and supporting junior engineers
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car
