An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a leading infrastructure contractor working on a major, long-term project in Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant QS looking to develop their commercial career while working alongside an experienced commercial team on a complex infrastructure programme.
The Role
- Supporting the preparation of applications for payment
- Assisting with cost reporting, forecasting and CVRs
- Supporting the management of change and variations
- Assisting with subcontract procurement and administration
- Monitoring project costs and financial performance
- Assisting with commercial reporting and cost-to-complete reviews
- Supporting the identification and management of commercial risk
- Maintaining accurate commercial records
- Working closely with the operational and commercial teams
- Assisting with subcontractor payments and accounts
About You
- Experience working within a contracting/commercial environment
- A degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
- Some experience within civil engineering, infrastructure, construction or a related sector
- Good understanding of commercial processes
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A willingness to learn and progress within a commercial team
