The Opportunity
- Joining a well‑established transport planning team, you will gain exposure to a diverse range of development projects spanning residential, commercial, education and mixed‑use schemes.
- You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, working directly with senior leadership while developing your technical and client‑facing skills.
- Preparing Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Access Appraisals and related technical reports.
- Undertaking junction capacity assessments and transport modelling.
- Supporting highway and access design work using CAD software.
- Managing project delivery and programme requirements.
- Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders, project teams and clients.
- Attending site visits, public consultations and project meetings.
- Supporting business development initiatives and client relationship management.
- Providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members where appropriate.
About You
- Previous experience within a transport planning consultancy environment.
- Exposure to development‑led transport planning projects across sectors such as residential, commercial or education.
- Knowledge of junction modelling and wider transport assessment methodologies.
- Experience engaging with clients, stakeholders and local authorities.
- An understanding of the planning process and its relationship with transport strategy and assessment.
- Strong communication and report‑writing skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Unrestricted right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).
