The Opportunity

  • Joining a well‑established transport planning team, you will gain exposure to a diverse range of development projects spanning residential, commercial, education and mixed‑use schemes.
  • You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, working directly with senior leadership while developing your technical and client‑facing skills.
  • Preparing Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Access Appraisals and related technical reports.
  • Undertaking junction capacity assessments and transport modelling.
  • Supporting highway and access design work using CAD software.
  • Managing project delivery and programme requirements.
  • Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders, project teams and clients.
  • Attending site visits, public consultations and project meetings.
  • Supporting business development initiatives and client relationship management.
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members where appropriate.

About You

  • Previous experience within a transport planning consultancy environment.
  • Exposure to development‑led transport planning projects across sectors such as residential, commercial or education.
  • Knowledge of junction modelling and wider transport assessment methodologies.
  • Experience engaging with clients, stakeholders and local authorities.
  • An understanding of the planning process and its relationship with transport strategy and assessment.
  • Strong communication and report‑writing skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Unrestricted right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).
