Overview

Associate Structural Engineer – Building Safety – Sidcup, Kent – £60k-£70k

Are you an ambitious Chartered Structural Engineer with an interest in buildings safety? This multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy in Sidcup, Kent invites you to lead and assist in the development of their team delivering structural engineering inspections and reports for building safety cases. The firm has over 100 staff and works across sectors including rail, buildings, marine, transport, housing, local government and more.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Director to expand the client portfolio while managing growth and overseeing the technical delivery of the existing team.
  • Lead and assist in the development of the team delivering structural engineering inspections and reports for building safety cases.
  • Engage with a buildings structures team of around 10 staff and contribute to a wide range of buildings structures design, including visiting sites, making observations and providing written advice.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Chartered Structural Engineer with an interest in buildings safety.
  • Experience in robustness and progressive collapse.
  • Experience of assessments and remedial works of Large Panel systems is preferable.
