Aldwark Manor Estate is a privately owned Hotel with Golf nestled in a picturesque village between York and Harrogate.

Set in 200 acres of beautiful countryside, this luxury Hotel provides a complete escape for both business and leisure guests and is a popular venue for weddings.

In recent years, the hotel has undergone significant investment and renovation, transforming the bedrooms, restaurant, residents’ lounge, sports bar and all public areas to deliver a refined and contemporary guest experience.

December 2025 marked the completion and opening of the new Salus Spa facilities, further enhancing the estate’s luxury leisure offering.

The next phase of development will see the addition of new bedrooms, expanded event spaces and additional treatment rooms, all scheduled to open later this year.

Purpose of the role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated

Restaurant Manager to join our team at Aldwark Manor Estate.

Elements is a fabulous 80 cover restaurant with round central bar serving Rosette level food, wine and cocktails.

As the leader of Elements, you are responsible for overseeing your department to deliver an excellent guest and team member experience in accordance with the Aldwark Manor Estate Service Standards.

You will have a passion for food, wine and cocktails and be able to deliver the highest standards in a fast-paced environment.

The Restaurant is open all day: breakfast, lunch, afternoon, and dinner so you must be experienced in all areas

Main duties of the role

  • Create an effective rota to deliver the service standards in Elements restaurant.
  • The ability to manage, motivate & delegate tasks to your team.
  • To carry duty management shifts in the Estate.
  • To support other Food and Beverage outlets when required.
  • Recruit, train, coach and develop all team members in Elements restaurant.
  • Create and develop the brand standards to keep moving the business forward, making it a destination for the residential and non-residential clientele.
  • Develop the wine list (with help from the Food and Beverage Manager)
  • To ensure the team can manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • To ensure that the team are fully trained on the product including all facilities and service standards expectations.
  • Ensure target KPIs including guest spend and guest satisfaction scores are met.
  • To ensure standards of procedure are in place and followed by the team.
  • To ensure all relevant legislation, compliance and procedures in employment law, health and safety, food safety, liquor licencing is followed by all the team at all times.
  • Mentor, monitor and develop the Elements team.
  • Make sure that 6, 10 weeks reviews with new starters are delivered to all team members as well as 6 monthly objective setting.
  • Lead the departmental induction of new starters and ensure they are fully competent in the role.
  • Ensure an adequate training plan is implemented based on guests’ feedback, personal and colleagues’ observation.
  • Ensure consumable, food, liquor is maintained at a level suitable for the business.
  • Control all costs through payroll and stock control.
  • Ensure the business has a strategic plan to continue to develop sales and the guest experience.
  • To assist the F&B Manager in monitoring Liquor stocks and ensure orders are places in a timely manner.
