Aldwark Manor Estate is a privately owned hotel with golf, nestled in a picturesque village between York and Harrogate. Set within 200 acres of beautiful countryside, this luxury estate offers a complete escape for both business and leisure guests and is a highly sought-after venue for weddings and special occasions. In recent years, the hotel has undergone significant investment and renovation, transforming the bedrooms, restaurant, residents’ lounge, sports bar and all public areas to deliver a refined and contemporary guest experience. December marked the completion and opening of the new Salus Spa facilities, further enhancing the estate’s luxury leisure offering. The next phase of development will see the addition of new bedrooms, expanded event spaces and additional treatment rooms, all scheduled to open later this year.
Main duties and purpose of the role:
As Bunkers F&B assistant you are responsible for helping your department to deliver an excellent Guest and Team Member experience in accordance with the Aldwark Manor Estate Service Standards. The working times will be between 7am and Midnight working 5 days per week, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- F&B Assistants need food service and waiting skills, alongside excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate well with guests.
- Excellent knowledge of food preparation and hygiene standards as well as the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Experience of working in a Restaurant or Bar and/or Retail environment.
- Ability to work in different areas of Food and Beverage including Breakfast, Bar, Restaurant, Conference and Events.
- Excellent communication skills with a passion for guest service.
- The ability to complete all tasks given in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure compliance with brand standards.
- Manage guest queries and complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
- Carry out duties correctly to help assist Bunkers Manager with achieving financial targets.
- Carry out cleaning duties as assigned to you with an awareness of Safety and Security policies and procedures, ensuring relevant records are completed daily.
- Ensure wastage and breakages are recorded correctly and assist with ordering of stock as required.
