Aldwark Manor Estate is a privately owned hotel with golf located between York and Harrogate.
Set on 200 acres of countryside, the luxury hotel offers a complete escape for business and leisure guests and serves as a popular venue for weddings.
The hotel has recently undergone major renovations of bedrooms, restaurant, guest lounge, sports bar and public areas.
This year we are launching a new spa, state‑of‑the‑art leisure facilities, new meeting rooms and additional 24 bedrooms.
The leisure facilities and spa are expected to open later this year, with the new bedrooms and meeting rooms opening in 2026.

Main Purpose of the Role
To ensure Spa treatments are delivered to the highest standards while providing professional recommendations to guests, welcoming Spa & Leisure guests, and maintaining all areas to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of the therapy team to consistently provide the highest standards of treatments, enhancing clients’ wellbeing.
- Provide clients with relevant and appropriate treatment(s) following thorough informed consultation on each visit.
- Utilise Spa standards of operation and client care at all times for consistency.
- Commit to regular revision of Spa treatments, consulting standards manuals and experts for correct sequence, routine, and philosophy.
- Provide all guests with recommendations based on consultation during each visit, taking every opportunity to upsell.
- Be open, receptive, and contribute to the Spa’s ongoing technical training and personal development programmes.
- Maintain confidentiality of guests’ information and details shared during consultation.
- Co‑operate with colleagues and share knowledge for the benefit of all.
- Ensure that all residents and leisure guests receive high levels of customer service from pre‑arrival until departure.
- Maintain the highest standards of all Spa areas.
- Assist the spa reception and therapists with guest meet and greet, spa orientation, check‑in/out, payment, and internal customer enquiries.
- Ensure high hygiene, cleanliness, and tidiness of the leisure area.
- Adhere to opening and closing procedures of the department.
- Assist in cleaning of the department and light maintenance of equipment.
- Maintain personal hygiene standards consistently.
- Handle cash and cashing up at the end of a shift.
- Provide refreshments to day‑spa, hotel, and leisure guests within the Spa.
- Maintain adequate provision of towels, robes, and slippers for all day‑spa guests and hotel residents.
