Aldwark Manor Estate is a privately owned Hotel with Golf nestled in a picturesque village between York and Harrogate. Set in 200 acres of beautiful countryside, this luxury Hotel provides a complete escape for both business and leisure guests and is a popular venue for weddings. Over the last few years, the Hotel has undergone major renovations in the bedrooms, restaurant, residents lounge, sports bar and all public areas. This year we will start our new and opulent spa and state‑of‑the‑art leisure areas as well as our new meeting rooms and additional 17 bedrooms. The leisure facilities opening later this year with the new spa, bedrooms and meeting space opening 2026.

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated team member who can join us in this very exciting new position at Aldwark Manor Estate, who is passionate about delivering treatment to the highest standards and is a teamwork and drives for the best in everything that you do.

Main purpose of the role

To ensure that the Spa treatment is delivered to the highest standards while delivering professional recommendation to all guests. As well as welcoming all Spa & Leisure guests to the business, ensuring that the Spa & Leisure areas are kept to the highest standard.

Main duties include

  • To work as part of the therapy team to consistently provide the highest possible standards of treatments, thus enhancing the client’s sense of wellbeing, balance and quality of life.
  • To provide clients with relevant and appropriate treatment(s) following a thorough informed consultation on each client visit.
  • To utilise the Spa standards of operation and client care at all times to ensure consistency on each client visit.
  • To commit to regular revision of the Spa treatments on your own behalf, referring to standards manuals and experts to ensure that treatments are consistently administered in the correct sequence, routine and philosophy.
  • To provide all Guest with Recommendation based on guest consult consultation during each visit, taking every opportunity to upsell.
  • To be open, receptive and to contribute to the Spa’s ongoing technical training and personal development programmes.
  • Ensure confidentiality for guests’ information and detail shared within consultation.
  • To be co‑operative with one’s colleagues and share knowledge to the benefit of all.
  • To ensure that all Residents and Leisure guests always receive a high level of customer service from pre‑arrival until they depart.
  • Responsible for maintaining the highest high standards of all Spa areas.
  • Daily assisting the with Spa reception and therapists with guest meet and greet, spa orientation, Spa & Leisure guests check in and out, taking payment, alongside internal customer enquiries on service and bookings.
  • To ensure the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and tidiness in the Leisure area.
  • To adhere to the opening and closing procedures of the department.
  • Assist in the cleaning of the department and light maintenance of the equipment.
  • To always maintain personal hygiene standards.
  • Daily assisting the with Spa reception with guest meet and greet, spa orientation, Spa & Leisure guests check in and out, taking payment, alongside internal customer enquiries on service and bookings.
  • To be responsible for handling cash and cashing up at the end of a shift.
  • Provide refreshments to day spa, hotel, and Leisure guests within the Spa.
  • Maintaining an adequate provision of towels, robes, and slippers throughout the day for all day spa guests and Hotel residents.
