Darwen Aldridge Enterprise Studio is a 13-19 Mainstream Studio School based in Darwen, Lancashire, specialising in Creative/Technical Digital Technologies and Care Sector. We are currently ranked as the number one performing college for progress at KS5 in the borough and within a 132km radius. We are seeking a dynamic and creative Teacher of Graphics to join our innovative team and inspire students in the exciting field of graphic design. In this role, you will deliver high-quality lessons on design principles, software, and techniques while fostering an inclusive and engaging classroom environment that encourages student expression. This role is a Fixed Term Contract of 12 Months to cover Maternity Leave. The ideal candidate will be a qualified educator with expertise in graphic design, possessing strong communication skills to effectively engage and motivate students. - First degree or equivalent
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience of Teaching in the 11-18 sector
- Ability to exemplify Teaching Standards and a record of consistently Good or Outstanding teaching.
- Knowledge of the strategies that will secure success in the development of students' academic and employability skills.
- Understanding of strategies for raising performance and using monitoring and evaluation structures to allow rigorous review of students' work and progress.
- Understanding of effective approaches to behaviour for learning and classroom management.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences.
- Strong team working skills and the ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
- Strong organisation and planning skills with the ability to manage demands and prioritise effectively.
- Knowledge of design and creation processes
- Able to deliver GCSE in Graphics
Desirable
- Understanding of the Creative Digital industries and experience in the sector.
