National IT have an exciting opportunity for a talented IT Professional to join the NIT Onsite Support Team based at Bardon. The role will initially support the project team from a software and automation testing perspective then transitioning to onsite software and hardware support. The preferred candidate will have experience of working within automated distribution centres and providing IT support to the DC end users from a software and hardware perspective. Knowledge and experience of working with IT teams to deliver successful software projects is required. Experience with integrating and/or operating Manhattan Warehouse Management Systems into Automated Warehouses and the Warehouse Control Systems is desirable. You will ensure constructive working relationships are maintained with internal and external stakeholders of all levels. The role will involve working closely with the business, IIT and our 3rd party suppliers, ensuring projects are delivered and transition to BAU in a controlled manner. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have strong previous experience in a similar role and have experience of working as part of an IT support function preferable within an automated DC. Candidates will be located in Bardon whilst the site is in the final stages of construction, however, flexibility to travel to Head Office (Atherstone) will be required.

Your New Role
- Develops and maintains positive working relationships with the internal project teams and external partners to ensure close collaboration and successful transition to live.
- Ensure the Warehouse Management System and Warehouse Control software uptime is maintained to the agreed service levels.
- Coordinate software incidents across various DC applications and stakeholders, ensuring that acceptable solutions are found in a timely manner.
- Manages Aldi’s partners within contract guidelines, ensuring performance and SLAs are monitored and recorded to aid in continuous improvement.
- Ensure change control procedures are adhered to for site applications.
- Testing & Deployment support for site applications.
- Works closely with stakeholders across the project and wider business to ensure consistency, alignment and efficiency where departments overlap, acting as an interpreter between business stakeholders and the technical teams.
- Use your business knowledge and logical thinking to add a practical element to deployment and downtime planning.
- Identifies, investigates and proposes best practices to deliver a ‘best in class’ service to business end users.
About You
- Used to working in a fast-paced automated environment.
- Experience of stakeholder management at all levels.
- Experienced in raising tickets to third party vendors.
- Able to prioritise tickets based on business need/impact.
- Working as part of an IT support function.

- Supply Chain / Warehouse Automation experience working with automation vendors (Desirable).
