This is a one-year programme where you\’ll learn how our products get from our suppliers to our customers\’ shopping baskets. It\’s a fascinating process, with lots going on. We\’ll teach you all the techniques to succeed whilst you work your way towards a Level 2 Supply Chain Operative qualification. We recruit nationwide and all year around!
- We don\’t hang around at Aldi and neither will you. So from the moment you start, you\’ll be straight to it, signing your contracts, meeting your Assessor and completing all the paperwork to enroll onto your qualification.
- Focusing on your Level 2 Supply Chain Operative qualification, you\’ll get to grips with our warehouse operation, complete theory work and have regular reviews with your Assessor.
- Pick, Wrap and Pack! You\’ll learn the incredibly important job of picking goods that are ready for dispatch. You\’ll then wrap and pack them, ensuring they end up where they\’re supposed to be. In perfect condition.
- Stock levels are the lifeblood of retail. Too much, and you\’ll waste a lot. Too little, and our customers won\’t find what they need. Which is why we\’ll show you how to do inventory checks, and stay on top of stock levels and records.
- You’ll learn how to operate equipment which could be mobile or fixed. It’s not just about knowing what bit of kit to use, but how to operate it safely and pack it away when you’re done. Conduct risk assessments within the working environment.
- Apply safe working practices in line with associated health and safety legislation and company policy.
- Receive products in line with organisational procedures.
- Store and pick products in line with organisational procedures.

- Communicate with others verbally, for example internal and external customers, colleagues, and managers.

- Load and unload products, considering the product that is to be moved and its current and planned destination.
- Use tools and equipment to aid in product handling.
- Use information technology and digital systems. Comply with GDPR and cyber security.
- Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
- Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
- Support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
- Identify and elevate problems beyond own responsibility.
- Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal.
- Follow equity, diversity and inclusion rules.
- Carry out and record learning and development activities.
- Conduct handover activities.
- Earn while you Learn! You\’ll be completing your Level 2 Supply Chain Operative qualification whilst carrying out your daily duties.
- You\’ll learn on the job, allowing you to put your theory based learning into practice.
- You\’ll learn how to use special warehouse equipment to move goods and we\’ll teach you how to lift, transfer and settle goods to perfection (and safely, of course).
- Every three months, you\’ll meet up with your Section Leader, Warehouse Manager and Assessor. This is just to make sure you\’re on track and performing well.
- On top of Assessor visits and Quarterly Reviews, you\’ll also have Progress Reviews. Less formal than a Quarterly Review, they\’re there to give you constant feedback about how you\’re doing.
- Graduation is just the start of your amazing Aldi career. You\’ll now be given the chance to move into a permanent position within the team – where you\’ll be discovering even more exciting opportunities.
