Stock Assistant Role
As a Stock Assistant at Aldi, you will focus on the essential tasks of receiving, organizing, and replenishing stock to ensure the store maintains excellent product availability and presentation. You will work closely with the Store Assistant team to keep shelves fully stocked and support overall store operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Stock & Inventory Management
· Receive and unload deliveries, verifying product accuracy and quality.
· Ensure correct stock rotation to minimize waste and maintain product freshness.
· Restock shelves and freezers promptly and efficiently, maintaining strong product availability.
· Organize stockroom areas to keep them clean, safe, and well-ordered.
· Assist with inventory checks and stock reconciliation as required.
· Store Presentation & Safety
· Maintain high standards of store cleanliness and safety, including adhering to health & safety and food hygiene procedures.
· Monitor pricing, labels, and signage for accuracy and update when necessary.
Teamwork & Flexibility
· Collaborate closely with Store Assistants and management to support store operations.
· Assist with opening and closing duties as needed.
· Adapt to varying shifts and responsibilities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Skills & Requirements:
· No previous retail or stock handling experience necessary; full training provided.
· Ability to work quickly and efficiently with a strong focus on accuracy.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organised.
· Physically able to carry out manual tasks such as lifting, moving, and stocking products.
Working Hours:
· Shifts may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends. As our stock is typically worked in the morning, this is where this role typically resides.
· Additional hours may be available during busy periods.
As a Store Assistant at Aldi, you will be integral to the smooth running of the store on a daily basis. This dynamic and fast-paced role involves a variety of tasks including customer service, stock replenishment, and maintaining store standards.
