Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Driver to join our team at Aldi's London location. The ideal candidate will have a valid forklift license and a minimum of 2 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution center setting. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to load and unload goods, move products to designated areas, and assist with inventory management. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth and development within the company.
Salary:
£18-£25 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift to load and unload goods from trucks, shelves, and other designated areas
- Transport products to and from storage areas and production lines
- Inspect and maintain the forklift, reporting any maintenance or safety issues to management
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with inventory management by accurately recording product movements and reporting any discrepancies
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution center setting
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recording product movements
- Must be able to work flexible schedules, including weekends and evenings as needed
