Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Driver to join our team at Aldi's Harwell location. The ideal candidate will have a valid forklift license and a minimum of 2 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution center setting. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to load and unload goods, move products to designated areas, and assist with inventory management. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth and development within the company.

Salary:

£18-£25 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• - Operate a forklift to load and unload goods from trucks, shelves, and other designated areas
• - Transport products to and from storage areas and production lines
• - Inspect and maintain the forklift, reporting any maintenance or safety issues to management
• - Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
• - Assist with inventory management by accurately recording product movements and reporting any discrepancies
• - Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks
• - Maintain a clean and organized work area
• - Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times

Qualifications:

• - Valid forklift license
• - Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution center setting
• - Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures
• - Ability to lift and move heavy objects
• - Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
• - Strong communication and teamwork skills
• - Attention to detail and accuracy in recording product movements
• - Must be able to work flexible schedules, including weekends and evenings as needed
