A Care Home Deputy Manager supports the Registered Manager in leading a residential care home, ensuring outstanding standards of care, compliance, and team performance are maintained at all times. Responsibilities include supervising care staff, conducting quality assurance audits, supporting with CQC inspection preparation, managing rotas, and acting as a key contact for families and external professionals. The Deputy Manager steps in to lead the home in the Manager's absence and plays an active role in staff development and recruitment. Candidates must hold a relevant care qualification such as an NVQ Level 3 or above, along with significant leadership experience within a care setting. Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act, Safeguarding procedures, and CQC regulatory requirements is essential.
