Assistant Store Manager – Overview

We have some amazing opportunities for Assistant Store Managers to join the growing teams throughout the Bedford area.

As an Assistant Store Manager at Aldi, you will need lots of energy, great leadership skills and a passion for success (just like us).

With experience of managing a team in a target‑driven environment, you are able to take control, supporting the team to deliver consistent store standards whilst tightly controlling costs.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve the highest sales possible while ensuring an efficient, co‑operative working environment.
  • All aspects of employee management, development and people performance.
  • Strong operational mind‑set with the ability to make short and long‑term business decisions.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain consistent high standards.
  • Display strong leadership skills and due diligence.
  • Passion for success and ability to motivate employees.
  • Minimise costs and optimise productivity.
  • Manage company property, control costs and monitor sales figures.
  • Communicate regularly with the Area Manager to ensure best practice in sales development, stock control and financial management of the store.

Qualifications

  • Salary & Hours

The salary ranges from £38,525 to £45,420 after four years.

Flexible 32, 36 or 40‑hour contracts are available, which can be worked across four days or five days (both including weekends).

Salary will be pro‑rated.

Full training is provided for the first three months, with continued support throughout your career.
