Join to apply for the Retail Management Placement – Bolton role at Aldi UK.
This is your chance to get a real taste of retail, as you\’re exposed to every facet of our business over the 12 months of your placement. You’ll spend the first few months in store, learning about (and actually doing) everyone’s different roles. It can be hard work: you could be stacking shelves, operating the till, serving customers—whatever’s required, you’re there with a helpful smile and a good head on your shoulders. Once you know what goes into every role, you’ll be better equipped to manage and lead the team.
Along the way, you’ll complete a number of different projects in a variety of areas across the business, including Logistics, Administration, Property and Trading. You’ll also work alongside an Area Manager, gaining real insight into their role. As a result, you’ll be well placed to hit the ground running on our Area Manager Programme after graduation. It can be daunting—but it can also be a fantastic opportunity to learn and be inspired by a company that’s different to others.
Responsibilities
- Spend the placement in-store learning about and performing various roles (e.g., stocking, tills, customer service) to understand the business end-to-end.
- Complete projects across Logistics, Administration, Property and Trading.
- Work with an Area Manager to gain insight into leadership responsibilities.
- Develop the skills and experience to participate in Aldi’s Area Manager Programme after placement.
