We have an exciting opportunity for a Pricing Assistant to join the ALDI Pricing Team. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in the business - driving sales and profitability and making sure we offer our customers the very best prices. As part of this team, you will be responsible for monitoring competitor price and promotion activity, determining optimum prices for our products, and identifying strategic opportunities.
You will have a strong commercial understanding of the UK grocery market, and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at multiple levels. You will collaborate with Buying Teams to drive business performance and achieve business targets, whilst balancing multiple responsibilities in a fast-moving and dynamic environment.
This is a fantastic position in a growing team, with exposure to senior stakeholders and lots of variety. You will play an integral role in ALDI’s success.
Your New Role
- Monitor and report on competitor price and promotion activity across the market
- Take ownership of part of our range and determine optimum prices for your products
- Combine data from multiple sources to provide strategic recommendations and highlight business opportunities
- Communicate confidently with a range of stakeholders, including presenting pricing recommendations to Buying Directors
- Build and maintain effective relationships between the Pricing and Buying Teams
- Use initiative to assess and resolve problems
- Assist in the creation of new processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and consistency across the business
- Work flexibly and efficiently, managing a combination of routine and ad-hoc tasks
About You
- Commercial understanding of the UK grocery market
- An interest in pricing and business strategy
- Proficient with data - combine large volumes from multiple sources to create user-friendly outputs and recommend strategic outcomes
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with stakeholders within the business
- Effective time management and organisation
- Confident communicating with a range of stakeholders
What you’ll get in return
- Salary starting at £36,625 rising to £42,770
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of remote working up to 2 days per week
