A role in the National Supply Chain Business Partner Analytics (BPA) team is a great opportunity to play a key part in shaping the future of the team and its ways of working. As a Technical Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in analysing our data and processes, driving strategic initiatives that enhance our efficiency and overall performance. You will be instrumental in driving the BPA team towards an automated and efficient operating model, ensuring reduction of manual tasks and manual reporting wherever possible. You will gain invaluable experience developing processes and automation for both your direct team and wider departments, whilst simultaneously working towards a globally aligned target consisting of managing our own freight and customs whilst identifying cost savings for the business.

This role will require someone who is resilient and experienced in high pressure environments, a confident individual who has exceptional communication skills, high attention to detail and a strong technical ability with an innate drive to proactively identify opportunities and deliver solutions.

Your New Role

  • Deep understanding and mapping out of existing processes across the team
  • Identifying and developing automated and bespoke team processes to minimise manual workload whilst maximising performance against targets, allowing scalability of workload
  • Develop and maintain technical tools, reporting outputs, and process documentation, presenting these in various manners such as interactive dashboards and as per requirements of the audience
  • Identify and deliver process optimisation opportunities across upstream and downstream workflows
  • Lead not only the development but the testing, deployment, and training for new processes and automation solutions for all involved stakeholders
  • Apply data‑led analysis and mathematical rigour to improve cost accuracy and business decision‑making ensuring efficiency of processes at forefront of each decision
  • Partner with key stakeholders (e.g. National Buying, Customs, Inbound) to enhance data utilisation and reporting capabilities
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and support to ensure continuity of service and delivery timelines to all involved stakeholders
  • Complete route to market analysis through the Coupa system, proposing new solutions to existing Supply Chains for ALDI’s Suppliers and converting suppliers to ALDI managed freight solutions

About You

  • Extensive experience working in a data driven and process focused environment
  • Proven experience delivering automation or process improvement initiatives
  • Experience of working with complex data sets and reporting outputs
  • Advanced excel (including formulas, macros and VBA)
  • Data manipulation and querying (SQL, Python or similar)
  • Experience in Tableau
  • Process automation and optimisation
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capability
  • Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions
  • Ability to proactively work towards challenging deadlines through multi‑tasking and resilience
  • Strong stakeholder management, collaboration and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident with making and owning decision making processes
  • Training or certification in data analysis, coding and process methodologies
  • Qualification in relevant analytical, data, technical, mathematical or data science fields
  • Experience in supply chain, procurement or retail analytics
  • SAP experience

What You’ll get in Return

  • Salary starting from £55,125 rising to £63,500
  • 18 month Fixed Term Contract
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working (changing to 1 day a week remote working from January 2027)
