Alderwood Medical Practice is a friendly, forward-thinking, supportive practice with a list size of around 6800 patients looking for a salaried GP to join our friendly team and contribute to our practice development. We encourage openness amongst colleagues and pride ourselves on our excellent staff retention rates. The practice is situated in new purpose-built premises with dedicated practice parking. We are a member of ICB, PCN and GP Federation.

About us: We have two GP partners, two part-time salaried GPs, a long-term locum GP, full-time ANP, PN, HCA and Clinical Pharmacists. Supported by valued staff including management team, secretary and admin staff trained in workflow optimisation and coding which successfully reduces GP workload. Both partners are trainers and the practice hosts both medical students from Keele University and GP Registrars. Candidates should be willing to be actively involved in supporting teaching and training of trainees. We are offering career progression in a supportive working environment. Job responsibilities: We are looking for 6 sessions over Wednesdays/Thursdays/Fridays per week from 1st June 2026. More sessions may be available for interested candidates. Sessions will include consultations - including telephone, video and face-to-face, workflow, lab results, tasks, prescriptions, home visits if required and clinical and staff supervision. Pro-active participation in practice development activities is expected along with help in practice achieving its targets and compliance. We use Emis Web and Docman alongside software supporting video consultations. 6 weeks annual leave and 1 week study leave pro-rata.

Person Specification: Qualifications - Newly Qualified or experienced GP are both welcome - we hold a Tier 1 Sponsorship License. Disclosure and Barring Service Check: This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
