About the pub
The Alders is a fantastic community pub ideally located just a stone\âs throw from Sherwood Forest and several other country parks including Clumber Park and Clipstone Forest. The name comes from the original spelling of the town \âAllerton\â meaning \âfarm amongst the alders.\â
Delighting guests with our community food menu and daily carvery offering, The Alders is a high-volume business and currently trades at an average of ÂŁ25,000 per week in net sales, with a 60/40 split in favour of food sales.
As well as the famous carvery deck, the Alders also boasts a children\âs play area and a large beer garden that proves popular with our guests during the summer months.
To be successful at the Alders, you\âll be an experienced General Manager with a proven track record of success in a high-volume, food-led business within a branded environment. You\âll be a natural leader, with a passion for inspiring and nurturing your teams to maximise their potential, whilst delivering exceptional guest experiences and engaging with the local community to enhance the reputation of the business.
Management accommodation is available in the form of 3 bedroom flat, located directly above the pub.
